Lenovo Legion Desktop 5i keeps freezing and bsoding

Recently, I got a legion 5i, model T5-28IMB05. It's a great pc, it has good specs and it's really fast in games. However, since day one I've been getting random freezing issues. This happens absolutely randomly, but not so often - only once a day.

Whenever I'm doing anything (even something not power-intensive like browsing the web) my pc could freeze and bsod. This is how it looks like: the pc stays on a screen (freezes) then after about a minute it cuts to a blue screen and gives me an error message: DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION.

Every time my pc restarts after the bsod, my realtek audio drivers go missing, and there is no sound coming from the pc, as well as the audio device being hidden in device manager. Strangely enough, after a hard power off (holding the power button) the realtek drivers come back.

Another possibly related issue I've been having is that my wifi card just cuts out during large downloads like steam games. It will be going at full speed, until it drops to 0 mbs and kills the internet for my pc until I restart the wifi.

I've tried doing a fresh install of the newest nvidia driver, did the built in memory check twice, fixed registries with errors in them via a third party application, and I've even done a completely fresh install of windows from a usb stick.

    Roll back the display adapter in device manager.

    also have this same desktop. looked through my driver update history as well as my event viewer and this issue started on the 26th as soon as I installed the latest NVIDIA drivers (version 471.68) on the 25th and was crashing after an hour or so of browsing the internet. i have rolled back to drivers 471.41, hopefully that fixes it as i didn't have any issues with that driver. i was so confused for the past few days as to why my computer kept crashing and thought it was some PSU issue or something, thank god for this thread. lenovo should really do something about this.

    *edit* nevermind guys, 471.41 was also giving me issues :/ best to use the factory drivers instead

    I am having the same issue a roll back to 466.77 Nvidia Drivers stops the issue. Obviously we can't keep running the old drivers :(

    Wait getting all this DPC_WATCHDOG_VILATION constantly is because of the Nivida geforce experience app? or the latest 471.96driver?

    I can't rollback because it's greyed out.

    yes, i got that error from the latest driver as well as 471.41, so it's best to go with the drivers lenovo recommended on the drivers page for this PC, you can download it directly from there and just uninstall the driver you currently have
