I originally updated my operating system on my Dell computer about a year ago to Windows 10 Version 2004 from Vista.

I had no problem until early November when the computer lost connection with the printer - Dell V105 and would not print. I did the usual recommended stuff, rebooted the computer,  uninstalled the printer driver and reinstalled it from the original printer driver disc.

Now the error is that the printer does not recognize the port that it is connected to; however I have never changed the port. I bought a new USB cable, thinking that might help but nothing changed.

My question - I have heard on Microsoft Community that this printing issue is connected with a June Microsoft upgrade. My latest upgrade was in November 2020 when this happened.

Is this a Microsoft upgrade issue and if so, is there a fix that I can use?

    Thanks

I downloaded this update on Thursday, on Friday my PC froze for 2 minutes but came back, I tried to start my PC yesterday and got the Blue screen of death I have tried to do a repair and it failed, I tried a restore, but couldn't as it doesn't recognise my password and it won't start in safe mode or any other mode in the list.  I then got a password incorrect error so couldn't then do a role back to a previous update. I created a restore USB from a different PC and now I have a Black screen of death and the PC is now basically useless & I have no idea what to do.
