This is a summary of the cumulative updates released on December 8th for all the supported consumer releases of Windows 10. This is the last release for Windows 10 1903 Home and Pro editons.

  1. Windows 10 version 2004 and version 20H2 - KB4592438, Build 19041.685 and 19042.685
  2. Windows 10 versions 1903 and 1909 - KB4592449, Build 18362.1256and 18363.1256

IMPORTANT Adobe Flash Player will go out of support on December 31, 2020. For more information, see Adobe Flash end of support on December 31, 2020. Flash content will be blocked from running in Flash Player beginning January 12, 2021. For more information, see Adobe Flash Player EOL General Information Page.

REMINDER Windows 10, version 1903 has reached end of servicing as of this release dated December 8, 2020. To continue receiving security and quality updates, Microsoft recommends that you update to the latest version of Windows 10. If you want to update to Windows 10, version 1909, you must use the Enablement Package KB4517245 (EKB). Using the EKB makes updating faster and easier and requires a single restart.     Oh dear, what is going on here. This is the second release in just a few months that has crashed my system. Problems earlier in the year with a computer locked and would not reboot.. stuck on black screen.. rolled back to previous version and OK with subsequent updates until this one.. again, seemed to install just fine with no warnings and then locked up again... get my boot screen and then a bit of activity and then simply stops and hangs with a black screen.. no messages, no nothing.

    I am not a computer professional but have been playing this game since PC-DOS.. actually PC/M.. and know how to do a rollback but Windows 10 is very much a consumer system.. how many innocent users have been crashed and are having to call in expensive support to sort this matter... this is wrong, Microsoft, these mistakes are simply inexcusible... should have stuck to XP!

    I am pretty sure that I lost files the last time this happened... and seems to have damaged some of my images.

    should say that yesterday, I did a rollback but today it insisted on installing again requiring a further rollback... am going to have to cut the power to switch off if it keeps insistning..

    Currently rolled back to Windows 10 home 10.0.18363

    And now paused to the 22 January.

    I have a Dell Inspiron AIO 20 3064 with upgraded 12GB ram. After upgrading to the latest Windows 10 1909 version, booting up already give me problems. An error during start up on boot." Memory has already changed. Please try seating the memory". I tried help from Microsoft but they said the problem is from Dell. My warranty has already expired so I cannot contact Dell with the problem. The only solution I have for now is to uninstall the update. Done this several times to install then uninstall but the problem still persists. Hope Microsoft and Dell could arrive to a solution on this issues everytime an updates comes.

    I originally wrote in for assistance about the issue of my Dell printer no longer working because of the Microsoft update. Tried everything suggested and no difference. I finally phoned Microsoft who checked out my computer. The bottom line, at least with me, is that Microsoft had cut off compatibility with that particular update because my provided by Dell was too old and did not support Windows 10. . He tried a few workarounds but no more options. He suggested that I call Dell to see if they could provide a new updated printer driver for Windows 10    I phoned Dell and they told me that no updates are available. My printer is too old.  Went out and bought a cheap printer yesterday - too bad that a perfectly good printer heads to recycling as no one wants it if not compatible with Windows 10.

    Microsoft has no intention of fixing the update, from what I could gather.

    Thanks so much for your support and ideas.

    I am having no problems. I was trying to help someone who need to REFRESH Windows

    while preserving their software.
