Man, my laptop is really taking its sweet old time downloading this update.  It's been stuck at "Downloading - 0%" for the past hour or so.  This is the one major thing I do not like with cumulative updates: the extremely long time it takes to install them.  In fact, when I turned on my laptop this morning and checked the update settings it stated that last check was two days ago just before I turned it off for the night, and that its status was "Installing - 100%" but it didn't go to the part where I have to restart the computer to finish updates.  I paused and resumed updates to start all over, and now I'm at the point where it's stuck on downloading the cumulative update.

EDIT: It's currently 8:28 a.m. and it's FINALLY in the installation phase again.

Another annoyance is that there are other updates that have downloaded already, but my laptop won't even begin installing them until the cumulative update is finished.  Is there any reason why that is?

Hello, I have a Dell Precision 5820 Tower, with Intel(R) Xeon(R) W-2195 CPU (18 cores), RAM 64 GB, Device ID 2082E2E5-01C9-447D-A2D4-3C6AD9E63B65, Product ID 00391-70000-00000-AA330, Windows 10 Pro for Workstation, version 20H2, OS build 19042.746 and I have installed the KB4598242.

When I tried to install the latest Brodacom MegaRAID 9460-16i driver (7.15), at reboot the PC went in Automatic Repair which failed, and then I had to do a system restore, that reverted to the 7.14 MegaRAID 9460-16i driver that works.

Before trying again to install the 7.15 driver I would like to know if there is a chance that it works with the latest Windows 10 update.

    Thanks per your help, Marco

Hello, the update KB4598242 resolve the issue with the latest Brodacom MegaRAID 9460-16i driver (7.15)? I received this message from Storage Technical support Broadcom Inc. "Development is unable to reproduce and believe that this was a Microsoft issue that has been resolved in the latest build."

    Thanks per your help, Marco
