    Hi Everyone!

Yesterday my Win10 "2021-01 20H2 x64 KB4598242" update was NOT successful.  I tried 4 times but got the following error every time: 0x800f0988.  I ran Windows Troubleshooter, (SFC /scannow), and (dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup) and NONE of them found any issues to fix! I downloaded "windows10.0-kb4598242-x64_725aeed030bc68b2d07096503bd26918ac1fe488.msu" and ran it but it was unsuccessful too!

Why does Microsoft always release updates in haste and so prematurely w/o thoroughly testing them? I guess our time is not important and valuable trying to figure out solutions to their mess for days and weeks!

I have all the latest Sep/Oct 2020 updates as follows:

My PC is 3 years old and I reset it to OEM every January 1st as part of my Spring Cleaning :)

    Edition    Windows 10 Home

    Version    20H2

    Installed on    ‎1/‎1/‎2021

    OS build    19042.685

    Serial number   *******

Experience    Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0

    Thanks
