driver updates greyed out

when  i go to windows update history nothing shows up, and  drivers are greyed out. is there something wrong

 what do i need to do?

    except for the update thing everything else seems to be working correctly now no longer have the problems withMMC  event viewer and task scheduler

    Then you could wait to see if WIndows Update starts working again, and if not you have the steps that will fix it in my first post. I'll be here if you need help with any of them.

    ok   tell me if  i am understanding this correctly. If  i want to  download and install the 20 H2 update  i have to do anupgrade or a reinstall  correrct  i can not just  download it   and have it just update without losing data
