driver updates greyed out

when  i go to windows update history nothing shows up, and  drivers are greyed out. is there something wrong

 what do i need to do?

    Mary, this is a forums where we come to learn to how to it ourselves. We do not connect to people's computers like Support agents.

    The most basic thing we need to learn to maintain a PC is how to keep the latest manufacturer's drivers current. Windows drivers are rarely enough.

    On a sticker on your PC you will see your Dell Service tag. Here is how to find it so you can put it in the Dell Downloads page to find your drivers:

    Then put the Service tag in on the page here to locate your drivers:

    Now compare the drivers offered to the ones presently installed in Device Manager to the ones available for download, update any that are newer.

    The chipset is a group of drivers that control your motherboard. To know the date of your installed chipset, look at the IDE ATA ATAPI controllers where the SATA controller will be installed which is an important element of the chipset.

    To compare the BIOS type System Information in the search box, open it and look at BIOS version.

    go to windows 10 they said its so much better so much easier  you will lie it better that is pure bull
