driver updates greyed out

no not with out the way you just said when  i click o windows updates it  goes through the steps  and finally says  the time and up to date then  under that it gives the 20 H2 update and says when  i am ready to install  to do so

Mary - That's why I said to double click the file, to mount it. See, that explains how to do it. If it isn't clear then ask back.

You'll then see a bunch of files. Right click Setup file to Run as Administrator. This will upgrade to Version 2004, which is only halfway to 20H2 and shouldn't cause the same problems but hopefully will fix your Update history issue if the steps in my first post didn't.

But if you don't want to do this even with my help, then let's go back to Windows Settings > Update & Security > Windows Updates and choose Check for Updates. What happens? Does it find Updates to install?

Iam truly afraid to  install   this  for fear of  having to go back to geek  squad and having to do a complete reinstall again.i will keep this nd when  i feel confident or  have a tech remote connect to  do it then I will.
