I have downloaded 2020-11 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 10 Version 20H2 for x64-based Systems (KB4586853) and successfully installed via windows update. Goes well.

But after restart the PC KB4586853 starts download again and error occurs Download error - 0x80070002.

"There were problems downloading some updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this, try searching the web or contacting support for help. This error code might help: (0x80070002)"

  • Windows Update Troubleshooter could not fix that.
  • Several time restart also could not fix.

Now how do I gonna fix that?

Try not to update your new version of windows 10 after new installation update, for about a week. Then go to settings,, update and in with one of the up dates there will be a something that will say windows 10 culminative update, it will take around 20 minutes to download , and install, your computer will switch off a couple of times , then restart and come back on. don't touch the computer until it has finished doing whatever it has to do. Then as if by magic.....No more error messages.

    Hello Subhajit,

Thank you for updating me with that information. It may just be a bug and this could be resolved in the new updates in next week Patch Tuesday.

If you decide not to wait, Please try to Perform a Repair Install of Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade. It will definitely help in resolving update errors. Performing this can repair broken operating system files while preserving your personal files, settings and installed applications.

**Few things to check on the PC

    1. Important: Back up your personal data and files to an external hard drive, USB thumb drive, or cloud location (such as OneDrive).
    2. Ensure you are signed in or have administrator rights to do a repair install
    3. Unplug all external peripherals except for the Mouse, Keyboard, and LAN cable before starting
    4. Disable or uninstall any 3rd party Anti-Virus program to prevent it from interfering with the upgrade

Kindly try to use the media creation tool.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

Download the media creation tool and save it to your computer.

Open the tool and select Upgrade this PC now.

Make sure to select Keep personal files and apps.

It might take some time to install Windows 10. Your computer will restart a few times, Make sure you don’t turn off your PC.

Kindly let me know if this helps or if you have any further concerns.

    Sincerely

    John DeV
