Windows 10 20H2 feature update causes lags, freezes, slow performance

I put it back to 1903. some of my friends want to put it back to 1607?  i wonder. even defender detects threat a false positive of "severe" the drop down has no option to allow or block. user should be allowed to take the risk when having this option button with undo. I hope Microsoft should help us. when i use a browser too long, like watching you tube for example, the file explorer slows, or even freeze, tried to right click on the folder icon on my task bar, file explorer opens. bug or malware. i-start firefox.exe i removed it from my system, still the same. effectively program files/ user/your name/local apps/ roaming/ internet start/ i deleted files manually even though it was uninstalled at the control panel.

I am very frustrated with this issue! I have run sfc /scannow and all of the DISM commands to no avail. I've uninstalled and re-installed Chrome. I'm going between Chrome and Edge. Also downloaded all driver updates from my computer manufacturer. Finally, last resort and spent time re-imaging and things worked just fine because I was on 1909. As soon as I was forced to reinstall 20H2 the slowness has started all over again. I really hope they push out a fix to this soon.

I agree. i like 1903 better but if you comfortable with 1909 i agree. every time there is an update its making it worse. i hope Microsoft looks into this.

I was having the same problem (with my Lenovo computer), but after updating the BIOS, I was able to install 10 20H2 without any problem. Before updating the BIOS, I checked two different ways to see whether I needed to update any of the drivers and found that none of them needed to be updated.

Same issue here. Updated from 1909 to 20H2 and since then I have lags when doing trivial things.

Sometimes switching between 2 text files in Notepad++ takes 1-2 seconds. Also if e.g. Excel is started and I click on open sometimes it takes also 1 or 2 seconds.

And the most lags are now in IntelliJ Java IDE. Sometimes when typing the typed chars appear 1-3 seconds later on the screen.

I never had this lags the months before the update last week.

I tried an update to the newest AMI BIOS, updated chipset drivers and grafic card driver but this did not change anything with the lags.

Other then some writers here I see no special lag problem with Chrome? Sometimes also chrome has a lag when changing a tab or so but not more often then other apps.

I have a beast of computer! Fat AMD CPU and 32gb of RAM aso. So the hardware should not be the problem. My CPU is the whole time under 10-15%.
