Windows 10 20H2 feature update causes lags, freezes, slow performance

I installed the Windows 10 20H2 update about a week ago, and since then my computer constantly freezes. These tasks aren't computationally demanding - watching videos in the browser or Spotify etc. I read there were some known issues with the update affecting network connectivity as well as general performance issues, but I've tried to install the patches for this and they're "not applicable to my device".

I have a series of driver updates but nothing else in my "optional updates" section. Should I try these? Are there pending patches for this update yet to be released? Worst case scenario, can I just roll it back completely?

    I installed  20H2 on May 11.   my backup program no longer works. W@indows error message is error report shows   1001  and 1002. aconros  is frozen,  but i was lucky enough to have a back to reinstall.   PC  also runs very slow and long time loading anything. need a fix for this

    Same problem here. My machine started lagging suddenly about a week ago when it updated and has been slow ever since. Even after installing and reimaging to older versions including v.1909 and even 1511 it remains slow. Not to mention the forceful updates making it worse whenever they complete. I’m worried it might’ve permanently damaged my hardware somehow?

    Update on my update.

    Finally gave in and reinstalled windows 10 with the latest version. I had uninstalled all my apps one by one, restarted to see if i could update my CAD software with no joy. At that point it made no sense to reload the apps in a bad windows environment so I did a clean install removing all files and apps from the online option. Reloaded all the APPs and Everything works great again. It sucks that the answer is always reload windows. Lost another 2 days screwing with this. THANKS WINDOWS UPDATES.

    Hello everybody, the mouse and the audio were lagging to me. it's the latest Edge Chromium and it's new way of handling process priorities. If it stays in the background, it overwrites everything (priority rule wise), even if you're not actively using it. The only way to fix the audio stuttering is to disable this feature in Edge flags.. I solved it like this:

    Go to Edge://flags
Search for "Delay Competing Low Priority Requests" and disable it
Restart the PC.
It worked for me.

    Thx man, that helped a lot!

    My system is now reacting as quick as it did before 20H2.

    To change page file size and doing Sfc and stuff was more like symptom treatment.

    I still feel the programs are opening a bit less quick, but now the lags between clicking on something and receiving a response is gone.

    I have to point out, that I had no problem with audio stuttering, but it was feeling like my system was running delayed.

    Could really be caused by the thread priority, this flag is impacting.
