Windows 10 20H2 feature update causes lags, freezes, slow performance

I installed the Windows 10 20H2 update about a week ago, and since then my computer constantly freezes. These tasks aren't computationally demanding - watching videos in the browser or Spotify etc. I read there were some known issues with the update affecting network connectivity as well as general performance issues, but I've tried to install the patches for this and they're "not applicable to my device".

I have a series of driver updates but nothing else in my "optional updates" section. Should I try these? Are there pending patches for this update yet to be released? Worst case scenario, can I just roll it back completely?

    Hi,

    I have the same issue on my Lenovo E480. Some of it was definately to do with a BIOS update required to improve the interplay between the onboard and dedicated graphics but the problem of a sluggish windows UI remains. For me this is mostly evidenced by the fact that I get faster start menu draw from a PC I am remoted into via Chrome Remote Desktop than on the laptop itself!!

    I have tried sfc, dism, set my paging size to recommended and now am attempting the edge://flags fix but I can't find the flag!

    "Delay Competing Low Priority Requests" is not in the list. Am I searching wrong or is it gone?

    Any other ideas?

    Hello, I had this same issue for a while but I figured out what might be the culprit.

    I updated my motherboard drivers in which I have not updated since I built my pc, and after doing so the problem went away.

    I have a MSI x470 Gaming Plus Max motherboard.

    Microsoft support is just so UTTERLY unhelpful. Every page I have seen regarding this SUPER SLOW update (which is now causing issues on my VERY BEEFY computer) They say the same thing - run a scan. They won't admit that they messed up and put out a crappy update. Now I have no clue how to fix this. But I am having the same issue.

    I used driver easy app to update almost all the drivers in my computer(sata, motherboard ect). After a restart the problem goes away. Now my machine runs faster than 1909 version.
