Windows 10 20H2 feature update causes lags, freezes, slow performance

I installed the Windows 10 20H2 update about a week ago, and since then my computer constantly freezes. These tasks aren't computationally demanding - watching videos in the browser or Spotify etc. I read there were some known issues with the update affecting network connectivity as well as general performance issues, but I've tried to install the patches for this and they're "not applicable to my device".

I have a series of driver updates but nothing else in my "optional updates" section. Should I try these? Are there pending patches for this update yet to be released? Worst case scenario, can I just roll it back completely?

    I have/had the same things.
    Booting was normal after installing 20H2, but the system was very laggy.
    I tried a lot: Sfc, DISM, clean boot.

    There was maybe a bit of a difference after doing the Sfc (Sfc found some corrupt files) and DISM commands, but not that much.

    What helped the most for me, was to set the virtual memory to the recommended paging file size. (I have an SSD HD and 16GB memory)

    I had a system managed paging file size before (the paging file size, the system took, was quite big) and that worked well before the update to 20H2.

    Windows is showing the recommended paging file size for the system (in my case 2931MB) and I set it fix (by custom size) to 2931 MB.

    I set the Initial size  to 2931MB and the Maximum size also to 2931 MB.

    Now it's much better. It's still not that fast as it was before 20H2, but now I can properly work in my browsers and programs again.

    Before this change, there was a delay for almost every click, what's really annoying.

    I still think the programs were opening faster before 20H2, but I can live with that, as long as this lags stays away when a program is open.

    A quick news story on TV this morning said it was an issue with the latest patch.  At least Microsoft is aware and can hopefully get it fixed quickly.  My mouse randomly freezes mid-game.  Not good.

    Having same issues. I’ve completely Restored twice to no avail. Quite a Pain to reinstall all apps. Now Outlook is hosed too. Spent 2 hrs online with Tech Support to get address books back. Now they are all gone again. 

    What the heck? I tried rolling back, but can’t. Laptop is only a few months old.

    Same issue here. Updated from 1909 to 20H2 and since then I have lags when doing trivial things.

    Sometimes switching between 2 text files in Notepad++ takes 1-2 seconds. Also if e.g. Excel is started and I click on open sometimes it takes also 1 or 2 seconds.

    And the most lags are now in IntelliJ Java IDE. Sometimes when typing the typed chars appear 1-3 seconds later on the screen.

    I never had this lags the months before the update last week.

    I tried an update to the newest AMI BIOS, updated chipset drivers and grafic card driver but this did not change anything with the lags.

    Other then some writers here I see no special lag problem with Chrome? Sometimes also chrome has a lag when changing a tab or so but not more often then other apps.

    I have a beast of computer! Fat AMD CPU and 32gb of RAM aso. So the hardware should not be the problem. My CPU is the whole time under 10-15%.
