Cumulative update December 2020 - KB4592438 Failed to install

I am trying to install KB4592438 for Windows 10 20H2. The patch is downloaded without any issue. But the installation fails and the screen starts showing - Undoing changes Don't turn off your computer. The error message is - Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later. Error code: (0x80070003).

    i have the same problem. i tried the SFC and DISM commands, but still no change. now am trying to install the offline installer of this update (link : https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB4592438)

    and it may help cause when you download from the windows update center some files may be missing so...

    I'll let you guys know whether it works when you download the offline installer.

    I tried to reinstall windows 10 on another little 120 gb ssd to see if there was maybe a probleme with hardware compatibility (amd r5 3600, x470 msi or drivers for my system)

    The installation of this kb4592438 successed and all was up to date without any troubles...

    I kept my system on Samsung SSD 500 Go which fail to update. What i have done is to disconnect my all day system, took an old 120 go ssd and tried to install windows and update to the new one. I just wanted to check if there were maybe an hardware issue (bios, drivers) with this KB.

    Just maked a usb key of windows with MCT to reinstalll like the first day. But this not a comfortable solution (it's radical ok) and i still want to resolve the problem on my all day system windows without formating and reinstalling.
