Microsoft Outlook Application Crash due to UCRTBASE.DLL

Windows 10 Build 2004

Outlook crashes intermittently and generates the following Application Event Log error.

I have run SFC /SCANNOW

I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft Office 365

    Elise,

    We are experiencing the same issue (versions, faulting application, faulting module, exception code, etc.) and starting Outlook in Safe Mode does not prevent it from crashing.

    What I've noticed so far is that the crash occurs when replying to emails. The crash can happen while typing/composing or when the user clicks Send. So far, I've only tried rolling back to previous Windows build because 10+ users have this issue and there were updates installed recently.

    I would suspect the Acrobat add-in but I would suggest disabling each in turn to check.

    Hello Elise,

      Starting in Safe mode appears to have worked.  I am listing the Add-ins that were originally enabled below.  I currently have Outlook running with only the Microsoft Exchange Add-in, but was wondering if you had any idea which of the Add-ins below might be the most likely culprit?  Or conversely, which ones are known safe Add-ins so I can narrow down which one might be causing this error.

    Could you try open Outlook in safe mode, it is possible an add-in is causing the issue.

    Right-click the Start button, and click Run.

    Type Outlook.exe /safe, and click OK.
