Downloading pictures wont save in folder by date

I notice the pictures are still saved in PHOTOS by folder date but no longer in Pictures.  Yes, I can work around it with time and trouble and create my own folders but why did Microsoft take away a good thing?  It is their glitch.  Please fix it.

This wont help if you are importing more than one month- or at least you would have to do this drawn out procedure for every month you are adding and select the proper photos for each month where it used to be done automatically.

Microsoft why do you like to screw up something that has been working for many years?

Does anyone have an alternative to the bloated and unstable MS Photos app?

So frustrating - it was working like a champ, now it takes manual labor and time to get the same results.  ****?

michelleMPLS Hit this on the head, as a photographer myself this is VERY Frustrating and time consuming...this really needs a good review and fix. Although the the folder suggestion & creation is an work around, it is not a resolution for something that was working. I may need to uninstall the last update to see if that helps.

michelleMPLS , I totally agree. I tried uninstalling update's with no resolution. I think this is something they need to address on a future update. My wife takes lots of pictures of sale items for online shops and rely's on the sorting aspect. I did this as a temporary fix. She can make the folder in seconds now that she's used to it, which is basically what they had going automatically, but it's still a pain. When I get time, I'm going to try and find a program to install. Microsoft may or may not think this is worth fixing.
