Downloading pictures wont save in folder by date

Way to go TimmyB_  You expressed what many of us feel in....SPADES.

This is an absolute joke.  I've been doing this for years and years, and it ALWAYS sorted my pics as they came in from my camera into folders by date, YYYY-MM-DD.  Now, one bulk folder and make your own "by date" folders.  Wow, what an improvement, MS.  Who thought this was a good idea, and why does this person have a job with you?

I have this same problem and Microsoft needs to find a solution to this. For my work  it has went from a great filing system to hours of mindless work to file photos. Along with  other update  "Improvement " issues, this is probably my last Windows based operating system. Ask  the opinion of anyone who takes hundreds of photos a day. I doubt  you will find much happiness for "Improvement Updates".

This is an update problem. I was having having this problem like the rest of you on my main computer. After spending lots of time trying to correct it I decided to get out another computer that I us mainly when I travel. I took a few pictures and downloaded from the chip and it put the pictures in a dated album. So I started looking at what the difference in settings might be between computers. I was interrupted for several hours and when I came back my travel compute must have updated because now it acts like my main computer when loading pictures.

I am having the same problem as what others reported.  The Photos app used to store my imported images in a designated folder by year and month.  Now it just dumps them into the Pictures main folder which is extremely frustrating.  I have not made any changes to my camera settings. 

This needs to be fixed.
