Downloading pictures wont save in folder by date

Yes that's exactly what the problem is and it's driving me crazy. I know about the change destination but that means you still have to go and manually create a folder and it used to do it automatically and I have no idea why it doesn't and it looks like no one has the answer here. It must be from that last update.

Thanks to everyone who has brought this frustrating issue to Microsoft's attention. I'm doing historical research ...  and manually creating folders, then moving images into them, has become a hugely time consuming activity. I'm exploring my Apple options after decades as a Microsoft user.

That's what is happening to me as well!

When I imported photos, they would automatically be sorted in folders and show the date they were taken. For example, if I took pictures on January 1st and more on January 2nd, and imported them at the same time, I would have my photos sorted automatically into two different folders.

Now they are imported as single photos and stored in Pictures. It means if I take 200 pictures, instead of being sorted into folders by date, they will show as 200 individual thumbnails!

do you mean that this needs doing every time i import photos ?   i think what we all seem to want is to automatically download photos into dated folders. thanks
