I'm not sure what happened but usually I can download pics from sd card and they go to a folder with the date. Now each pic is saved individually. How can I get it back to the way it was before.

I have had to do it manually and as of this writing.....March 6 2021, there have been no fixes from MS.....so I create a new folder, transfer the photos/dump them into file explorer pictures and then manually move them to the right date folder. Of course THIS ALL SUCKS! What the hell. I hope they fix it sooner than later and I'm not sure how that even happened. It was so amazing before!
But they have such lovely virtual groupings now based on AI. We should all learn to appreciate how much better the ideas of AI to organize our categories is than our own. Date is such an artificial construct (snark intended)

In case this NOT a behavior you like, you may open start and search for feedback and open Feedback Hub app and share your concern, make sure elaborate like how it used to be and how it has been changed and why you don't like this new improvement.

It is not an improvement and no one could possibly imagine it was an improvement to dump all the photos unorganised in the picture folder when you could previously save them in date order folders which were automatically created within pictures. Dropping this feature suggests there is no proper oversight of changes being made. That Microsoft removes features with little or no consideration for the end users.
But, nyytecrawler, even that isn't a fix unless you upload your pictures EVERY DAY. For those of us that might have a week's worth of photos, we have to go in after they upload and figure out which ones go where. Absolutely garbage.
