Downloading pictures wont save in folder by date

I'm not sure what happened but usually I can download pics from sd card and they go to a folder with the date. Now each pic is saved individually. How can I get it back to the way it was before.

I can sort them by date, that's not the issue. The issue is that Microsoft removed the feature that allows users to import photos and have them automatically put into folders by date (2020-12, 2020-11, etc.). Instead all photos are dumped into the Pictures folder and the user has to sort them.

You could sort them with date and in case you open then in Photo app, they have been sorted by date , so there shouldn't be any issue.
However, in case you concern about this change, you may share it through Feedback Hubapp.

2020-12-15T22:24:22+00:00 before i would insert sd card I would save photos they would go straight to folder with the date i took the pictures. now they are single pics, each pic has its own thumbnail instead of being in a folder.
