I'm not sure what happened but usually I can download pics from sd card and they go to a folder with the date. Now each pic is saved individually. How can I get it back to the way it was before.

michelleMPLS Hit this on the head, as a photographer myself this is VERY Frustrating and time consuming...this really needs a good review and fix. Although the the folder suggestion & creation is an work around, it is not a resolution for something that was working. I may need to uninstall the last update to see if that helps.

I've found this article in another stream. Can Import to folder named by date taken or date imported etc. Works great.
Basically don't use the Windows Photo App to do the import. Use File Explorer and right click on the camera to import from. .Select Import Photos and videos. Select More Options and select by date taken or Date imported etc. The article is quite good.

michelleMPLS , I totally agree. I tried uninstalling update's with no resolution. I think this is something they need to address on a future update. My wife takes lots of pictures of sale items for online shops and rely's on the sorting aspect. I did this as a temporary fix. She can make the folder in seconds now that she's used to it, which is basically what they had going automatically, but it's still a pain. When I get time, I'm going to try and find a program to install. Microsoft may or may not think this is worth fixing.

I am having the same problem as what others reported. The Photos app used to store my imported images in a designated folder by year and month. Now it just dumps them into the Pictures main folder which is extremely frustrating. I have not made any changes to my camera settings.
This needs to be fixed.
