Repeated crashes and BSOD on ASUS TUF A15

How long there was no BSOD after removing your wifi card?

And what are your updates on the second part of your answer?

I have had my ASUS TUF A15 for almost 2 years now, and it was working fine up until about a month ago and now all the BSOD happens while I am playing WoW or randomly while surfing the net. It happens a lot more often when playing WoW however.

How did you fix your stop error codes? I myself have uninstalled and reinstalled the graphics drivers over and over again hoping to find a solution there and it's hasn't worked yet.

I finally fixed my stop code errors. I tried everything and decided to try and replace my WIFI card since I saw someone suggest it. it has been 2 days since I have had stop code errors. looks like the WIFI card is drawing some extra power from motherboard that it could not handle. I wish ASUS would fix this since I used an old laptops WIFI card and it is not as fast as the one I replaced.

EDIT: I had been stable for a little bit now so I decided to experiment. I did a force bios roll back to 315 and it forced me to update again to version 320, installed both amd and nvidia graphic programs and did a fresh install of the graphic drivers thru their programs. being the risk taker that I am (LOL) . I installed back the original WIFI card since I wanted the WIFI speed. and luckily I have had no bsod. so I don't know what I did right or wrong. but it works.

EDIT 2: with luck i am stable again. it has been 2 days. 1st day it was 6 hours on and today i had it on for about 8 hours without BSOD, I left it on with a created power plan of maximum performance which means it does not go to sleep or hibernate. so i would turn it off when i go to sleep. this might a TLDR kind of thing unless you want to read thru it but i will try to summarize what i did and hopefully it works for everyone.

my setup is 16gb single channel with a 512gb nvme (original nvme that came with it) and a 1tb wd nvme. everything else is stock for an ASUS tuf a15 506IV.

• i installed windows 11 pro. (limited setup with no email linked)
• made sure all the updates are installed including the all optional updates. i made sure to keep doing the search updates until it stopped getting update hits.

-i installed all the updates in asus driver websites. you can look up your drivers by model number. these includes WIFI, Bluetooth and if you even feel like the bios update. just install as many of the driver updates as you can. i installed the most current one that i saw. i did roll back to bios 315 at one point but it just made me update to bios 320 when i restarted it.

• i installed Ryzen controller and armory crate. now at this time i was still getting bsod so it took few times to fully install it.
• i installed both amd adrenaline software and Nvidia GeForce experience software. it as still giving me bsod but i just powered thru and kept installing it.

-i did disable the amd graphics at one point but it somehow got enabled again. (it makes me feel like the vega graphics could be the culprit with many of the bsod.). i did read in this forum post that removing the amd drivers helped also.

-it kept giving the rtwlane.sys bsod so i looked up the wifi card driver and installed which ever driver i found for it

-i installed steam and downloaded a game that is graphic intensive (squad) and played it for an hour. which it did not give me bsod.

-i did not replace my WIFI card since i had a stable windows install with the wifi card installed in. i also made sure all the cables and components were properly connected and seeded.

• i am not a hundred percent if this part helped but i had a no wake from sleep at one point with a blank screen but keyboard had lights when i was trying to wake it while running it for a few hours to see if it would bsod, so i created a high performance power plan for maximum everything which included no sleep or hibernate mode.

this is not in a strict order. but i think somehow one or two things worked and i just tried everything that i could think of until it stopped giving me bsod. i do recommend isolating the bsod error message and see if you can download the driver for that error. just to note. it gave me a lot of memory error but i know it is not my ram since i already swapped it out at one point with ddr4 2666 2x8gb sticks and it still kept giving me errors.

i will update if it crashes again but when i originally had it stable, before it was good for weeks. i recommend cloning your stable windows install if you do get it stable since I don't know if you are able to replicate the scenario again.

i do apologize for the grammar and fragmented sentences but its 12am and i wanted to write this up before going to bed, so that i don't lose motivation to write it up. let me know if it helps so that it could be confirmed solved.

Not working for me. I've just tried that, and one hour later, bsod still exist.

This laptop totally garbage. I cannot work a day without 4 to 5 times bsod.

My last 2 laptops, both of them are asus, have poor quality. I think their gaming laptop will be better, but here it is.

I think I have enough with Asus now.

In the power plan, set the maximum processor load to 99%.

This must be done in all plans.This must be done in all modes and both on battery and on mains power.

I have 2 months without blue screens.
