Repeated crashes and BSOD on ASUS TUF A15

Hello,

Several months ago I bought an gaming laptop, an Asus TUF A15 FA506IV with Windows 10 installed. Everything was fine in the first weeks, but then my computer started to crash and get BSOD randomly, except when I'm playing or using it intensively, which is weird.

I've tried everything, ranging from reinstalling drivers, to a complete reset and windows install.

I've checked RAM, disk and system files integrity, tried multiple repair tools, both Microsoft and unofficial, multiple times, installed every single driver based on Windows Update recommendations/constructor website, even used driver verifier, but nothing has changed since.

The only thing that sometimes changes is the error message of the bluescreen, when there's one. Often the screen only goes completly black, and nothing else happens.

Oh, and I can't show any memory/crash dump since nothing is generated.

Is there anything else to do, or is my computer doomed to be returned to the vendor ?

A bit over week without any BSOD (26.02.2023, 11:54am) after the Processor Performance Boost Mode Change. I have no idea if anything has changed performance wise, so this feels like a win-win at the moment.
One noticeable thing is that temperatures are remarkably more stable.

Wow, I forgot about this topic

Well update on my computer : I returned it to the vendor, and despite the warranty being terminated, I could get a refund. I have found no fix, it went to Asus several times and they never found any issue, except the last time I returned it, right after the warranty ended :v They charged me with replacing the mobo which had a defect, so it was obviously a hardware problem.

If you still have a working warranty, I advise you to use it and get an actual tower pc, as gaming laptops are just bad overall, and really expensive

I have the same pc with the 1660ti gpu, I kid you not, it blue screened on me while I was trying to respond to this the first time. Usually black screen crashes while I'm doing nothing or while the computer is on but not in immediate use.

    Hello!

    First my computer information:

OS Name: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro

System Model: ASUS TUF Gaming A15 FA506IV_FX506IV

    Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with Radeon Graphics, 2900 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s)

Installed Physical Memory (RAM): 16,0 GB

    Disk Drive Model: INTEL SSDPEKNW010T8

    Size: 953,86 GB (1 024 203 640 320 bytes)

    GPU Name: AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics

GPU Name: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060

    Total Available Graphics Memory: 8460MB

Very similar (or the same) issue started emerging for me recently.
Aggressive BSOD with various error codes. KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and most recently a new one after Windows 11 Pro upgrade, HYPERVISOR_ERROR.
Analysing the Minidump files from the BSOD (When they are able to be created at all) reveals that atleast these modules have cause an BSOD: amdppm.sys, nkrnlmp.exe. I have read around that atleast the latter is often not the root cause of the error.

These BSODS come about seemingly randomly. However, some mentions in this thread such as the BSOD happening with Youtube videos or while certain games are running does match to my experience. In addition, my crashes may happen immediately after logging into the system. This may happen multiple times in a row. What makes this infuriating, is that between some of the fix attempts I will list, there might've been over weeklong periods where no BSOD occurs at all, only for everything to come crashing down again.

Actions I have taken so far and which did not work:

    1. Update Windows and all drivers.
    2. Re-install various drivers
    3. Remove some software
    4. Run Memtest86 Diagnostics to detect memory hardware issues
    5. Reset Windows 10 Pro
    6. Upgrade to Windows 11
    7. Reset Windows 11 Pro
    8. Run Memtest86 Diagnostics again.

Actions I have taken and results are pending:

    1. Set Processor Performance Boost Mode from Aggressive to Efficient Aggressive.

This whole fiasco has been exhausting, I have two options left: Hardware or heating which might be intertwined. I am now some hours free of the issues (Last BSOD 17.02.2023, 10:23am) after the Performance Boost Mode change.
