WaasMedic Agent Exe stopping me from working

My computer slowed to a crawl. I cannot work. I checked task manager and saw a process waas Medic agent exe is the culprit. It is using 2.8 mb of memory and 1.2 mbs of disk usage.

I understand this is a Microsoft process. What I don't understand is what give Microsoft the right to take over my computer whenever it wants to and stop me from working.

How do I stop this?

Update (5/5/21) - Editing with some additional details.

Can some of you reporting high CPU or high disk usage of the WaasMedic agent create a Feedback Hub entry for me and share the Feedback URL on this thread?

The most important part would be the 'Recreate my Problem' recording while you see the high resource usage in Task Manager.

I want to promote some of these Feedback entries for investigation.

Updates:

Thank you for those who have been trying to file feedback. In some cases the system performance has prevented the use of Recreate my problem.

The Feedback is still useful without the recording, I will still raise those entries.

It is also useful if the Feedback is done shortly after the system is no longer experiencing the high disk usage, I will be calling out those entries as well.

Finally, I was not clear about the best Category and Sub Category selections. Please use Category: Install and update Sub Category: Downloading, installing, and configuring Windows Updates

Thanks,

Paul...

    Paul:

Thank you for your reply. About 2 weeks ago I added a comment to an entry about waasmedic in Feedback Hub.

If I am able, the next time my computer experiences significant performance problems with waasmedic, I will try to capture recording with Feedback Hub. The big difficulty with doing this is when I have seen the problem, my computer (has HDD as system disk) takes a long time - minutes - to respond to any keyboard entries. After pressing CTRL-ALT-Del, it may take several minutes before Task Manager opens. Disk activity light is on solid, and once task manager opens up, disk activity is maxed out and stays maxed out, other resources (cpu, memory) are ok.

    Thanks Tooney,

Not everyone is going to be able to capture for the reasons you said (perf hit is too high). But there are some on the thread who describe milder performance drops. Those folks might be able to get a recoding when others can't.

That being said, if you get me one from after they system has recovered a bit, I still contains diagnostic information that may show something unexpected.

You made another reply while I was composing this one. I don't know of a way to get to the recording any quicker than going through the App.

This reply is wholesome. Facts must be told, windows slows down in the long term because of these background applications and MS has to do something aboubt it. Please!

    Paul:

I wanted to send feedback about waasmedic agent slowing my system to a crawl. In Feedback Hub submission process, after I select "report a problem" feedback hub wants me to choose a problem category and sub-category.

For a problem like: "waasmedic agent high disk usage & hurting system performance" what feedback hub category and sub-category should I use?

I don't see anything that fits.
