WaasMedic Agent Exe stopping me from working

My computer slowed to a crawl. I cannot work. I checked task manager and saw a process waas Medic agent exe is the culprit. It is using 2.8 mb of memory and 1.2 mbs of disk usage.

I understand this is a Microsoft process. What I don't understand is what give Microsoft the right to take over my computer whenever it wants to and stop me from working.

How do I stop this?

Update (5/5/21) - Editing with some additional details.

Can some of you reporting high CPU or high disk usage of the WaasMedic agent create a Feedback Hub entry for me and share the Feedback URL on this thread?

The most important part would be the 'Recreate my Problem' recording while you see the high resource usage in Task Manager.

I want to promote some of these Feedback entries for investigation.

Updates:

Thank you for those who have been trying to file feedback. In some cases the system performance has prevented the use of Recreate my problem.

The Feedback is still useful without the recording, I will still raise those entries.

It is also useful if the Feedback is done shortly after the system is no longer experiencing the high disk usage, I will be calling out those entries as well.

Finally, I was not clear about the best Category and Sub Category selections. Please use Category: Install and update Sub Category: Downloading, installing, and configuring Windows Updates

    It's items not files but did I say 46,000 files is a lot ? Of course it's not in comparison the whole Winbloat package. Try looking at the contents of those folders. Anyway you're missing the point. I was reporting the "Package for Rollup Fix" which may be related to the WaasMedic problem people are reporting here. If you're just going to blindly defend Windows then don't bother. I've run several Linux distros and currently have three running so I know that Windows is a bloated pig of a data collection system disguised as an operating system. We're trying to figure out the WaasMedic problem. If you're not willing to help then stay out of it.

    Endless updates. Day after week after month after year. 

    Are we supposed to believe all of this is for OUR benefit? 

    The tech tyranny. The ugly monopoly.

    Constant, unceasing, repetitive "updates" just for OUR benefit, we the people. 

    What nonsense. 

    My machine no longer names waasMedic. A layer of disguise has been added. 

    What schlock.

    If you look in Windows>Servicing>LCU you'll find the "Package for Rollup Fix" folders.  There are two folders on this system, one from 3-11-21 and one from 04-13-21 each one has over 46,000 items in it and each are over 600MB in size. Like I said Winbloats 10 is a Pig of an operating system.

    Got KB4023057 this morning, came in as downloaded so HAD to install - no restart required but did one anyway. See what develops next. This year, had same KB on January 22nd, February 20th & now 29th April - what happened in March - no issue that month - MS slipping. Previous issues not knowingly created issues but who knows with Microsoft. Microsoft appear to want to control your computer, you and anybody running Windows. Also no doubt collect info when you go to toilet, pick your nose etc - is is not time for MS let us use OUR computer as we wish.
