WaasMedic Agent Exe stopping me from working

Yes, this is a design FEATURE and that is why it is not being fixed. The "windows update repair..." description was purposeful misdirection as it was always about getting a complete copy of at least the directory of all the files - if not all the file contents themselves - for Microsloth data farming operations. That info is/was, IMHO, sold to 3rd parties, as well as being passed on to MS marketdroids to determine which 3r party apps they need to disable to gain the competitive "Edge" (pun intended). I suspect there will be lots of pressure put on hardware as well as software developers in the run-up to Windows 11 release to pay for new development tools and "compatibility certification" as it appears MS is going to go the Apple route and try to REALLY get rid of 3rd party app providers and force your to rent (i.e. subscription "ransomware") MS apps to do the most common things they find among all the machines whose data they are hoovering up.

So Windows 11 predictions ;^} - SYS drive MUST be SSD; Free or non-MS office style apps will not function; Non-MS web browsers and email solutions will all of a sudden be incompatible with Windows; non-Xbox games will no longer function on Windows...

I finally broke down and went SSD because after getting big updates (10 - 20 minute installs) on 7/13, 7/14, and 7/15, my cold boot times were 37 minutes to a usable UI WHEN WAASMEDIC DID NOT RUN!!! It was worse when it ran out of the blue on 7/17, followed by or with TiWorker and MsMpEngine. Now my boot-ups are 2-3 minutes including the 1:30 of POST for the workstation, and I can't seem to catch any of those modules running by the time I get Task Manager / Resource Monitor up and running, so either they don't run or don't peruse the entire content of the SYS drive anymore.

It's been 30 days since I posted feedback https://aka.ms/AAcoru4 and during that time I have modified my behavior a bit by NOT shutting down the computer at night or even putting the computer in "Hibernate" unless the computer auto hibernate kicked in which is always hit or miss with windows. Over that time, windows went through 2 cumulative updates for 21H1 in the quality section and 2 cumulative preview updates 21H1 (1 was for .NET framework) in the "Other Updates" section as well as a "Malicious Software Removal Tool" and many "Security Intelligence Updates."

Amazingly I have had little to no problems and the computer was running fairly well but, this is what I noticed over that time from watching "Task Manager" as much as possible. I noticed that I did not see WaasMedic running AT ALL until today. It could be that I missed it running because part of my behavior modification was to sometimes walk away from the computer for a while after hibernation restarts. Well, this morning WaasMedic kicked in after a hibernation restart and I didn't walk away and it was over an hour that the computer was 99 percent useless as if nothing changed. I was hoping that the problem was fixed with all the updates but NO. It is still the way I described it in my feedback https://aka.ms/AAcoru4.  Can you give the board an update as to whether or not you elevated the problem to Microsoft engineers and are they close to a solution?

You are absolutely correct. M$ is trying to get us buy and install SSD's since they have programmed Win 10 to work better on them than HDD's. They don't consider it's not just the cost of upgrading to an SSD but the hassle of installing one and getting all your data cloned over.
