Latest Windows 10 iso file too large for DVD!

I downloaded the media creation tool for 20H2 Windows 10 version. Requested 64 bit version ONLY.

ISO file is over 4.7GB, does not fit on DVD. What should I do? I DO NOT want to mess with dual layer,

blue ray, or flash drives. Never had this problem before, seems like a glitch in the tool perhaps,

it does not compress the file properly?

This one works! Just burned it to DVD. So, this should resolve all the media format woes posted here? :)

Be sure to choose the second option to create media installation, unless you want to update directly.

    Hey Sirius96,

    I guess you didn't try my post on creating the Windows 10 Install on 2x DVDs or 1x CD and 1x DVD.

    I can post instructions on creating 2x DVDs or 1x CD and 1x DVD using IMGBURN if you need. Only limitation to IMGBURN is that I can only figure out how to create a Legacy boot CD or a UEFI boot CD.

    Let me know which one.

    Sound like too much trouble. The point is to keep bugging and nagging Microsoft. They are just wrong. The media creation tool should do 2-two DVD's

    automatically if it does not fit on one. How hard can it be to change the tool. Used to be able to do it with Floppies, for crying out loud.

    It is much simpler to use a USB stick.  I do this as a lot of my newer laptops no longer come with CD/DVD drive installed.  Also they take up less room to store.

    Original post says cant' boot from USB,

    not to mention that DVD's are much cheaper, easier to label and organize. A DVD costs about a quarter each versus $10 for USB.

    Is this because they do not know how to get to and use the BIOS Boot Manager?

    Or Rufus? Personally I have never used Rufus and boot using the Boot Manager quite often.

    Also if they have Windows 10 already on their computer they can use File Explorer and open the download and run Setup.

    Hi all.

    I appreciate the responses with lots of work around advice or using a USB drive, which I already know is an option.

    But my point was rather that the MS website link to burn A DVD in English for me, in x64 ( cause all my jobs require 64 bit OS W10 Eng ) does not advise me that the file size I just downloaded will not fit on any std 1 dvd, does not set up the process to burn 2 disks, and is only useful to be mounted and then run from the existing hard drive - that needs to be wiped.

    My EXPECTATIONS are not possible here on sp20H2.

    That is my whole point.

    Solution. Next service pak should be such as will fit on 1 dvd or be set up for burning disk 1 & 2.

    Is this really too hard to do in a time when we are flying drones on Mars.
