Latest Windows 10 iso file too large for DVD!

I downloaded the media creation tool for 20H2 Windows 10 version. Requested 64 bit version ONLY.

ISO file is over 4.7GB, does not fit on DVD. What should I do? I DO NOT want to mess with dual layer,

blue ray, or flash drives. Never had this problem before, seems like a glitch in the tool perhaps,

it does not compress the file properly?

This one works! Just burned it to DVD. So, this should resolve all the media format woes posted here? :)

Be sure to choose the second option to create media installation, unless you want to update directly.

    While the words are harsh and Not kind I fully agree.

    Frustrations do run high when you can't do an installation in a Productive way.

    You would expect from an Intelligent Team to foresee the issues that can arise from this "UNACCEPTABLE OVERSIZE DVD"

    Then you get others that DEFENDS Microsoft's actions and behavior.

    Come on, Praise the Good work and raise your Disagreement when Not Done Properly.

    As another user shared "Create 2x DVD" and Name them Properly is a good solution.

    Trust this will REACH the Development Team.

    That is the expected size of the 20H2 ISO. Your only option for DVD is use dual layer ... or use a cheap USB stick, they are much faster to install from.

    As I said in my original post, those are the things I don't want and can not do.

    1. I don't have a flash drive big enough.
    2. I don't have burner and blanks with dual layer support.
    3. Computer has no option in BIOS to boot from USB
    4. Said computer's DVD drive can't read dual layer.

    Hi there

    Try to borrow an earlier version of window10 you need (win10 64bit as an example) on a dvd

    Install it as the earlier version, then do not add anything at this point (extra apps etc)

    Get the Media creation Tool and start it up

    Choose "upgrade this pc"

    This should now download the new version and install automatically

    I've had to do this a couple of times with older machines as they have had the same problems as yours and not been able to boot from flash drives, dual layer readers etc.

    Quite simply, Microsoft and its engineers are incompetent pieces of trash who should be all fired.  They are such stupid lowly engineers they cannot think their way out of their backside.  This is going on since 1995 already.  Do you dirtbags ever consider people have to use your damn softwareand have different situations? Not every machine has USB that works without drivers, and many other reasons.  Was it too hard for you to just make 2 DVDs? Or make a smaller dvd? Totally inept and useless staff and engineers I would fire all of them. What a garbage work culture that aspires to be a little less than useless.
