Latest Windows 10 iso file too large for DVD!

I downloaded the media creation tool for 20H2 Windows 10 version. Requested 64 bit version ONLY.

ISO file is over 4.7GB, does not fit on DVD. What should I do? I DO NOT want to mess with dual layer,

blue ray, or flash drives. Never had this problem before, seems like a glitch in the tool perhaps,

it does not compress the file properly?

This one works! Just burned it to DVD. So, this should resolve all the media format woes posted here? :)

Be sure to choose the second option to create media installation, unless you want to update directly.

    Yes, indeed. I'm the original poster. And I accept this as a solution. The 21H2 64 bit does fit on a single layer DVD like it's supposed to.

    I really hope they-Microsoft keeps this up. So all that nagging and complaining paid off after all. The wheel that squeaks.....

    Replacing a DVD burner doesn't usually take any more expertise than knowing how to turn a screwdriver and unplug/plug 2-3 unambiguous connectors. For a great many people, that's a LOT easier (and less scary) than going through all the software steps you outlined (as a consultant, I've worked with clients who won't do anything at all as soon as it involves typing commands into a CLI!) Also note that I specifically qualified it as the penultimate 'worst-case solution', which, all by itself indicates that I didn't intend that it should supersede yours. I absolutely concur that it's beyond stupid that Microsoft has done this, and that I quite hope that they'll get their head out of their backside for future releases, but, from their history, I'm substantially doubtful that it'll even register on their radar.

    I went ahead and bought the drive because of my expectations wrt MS's likely inaction on this, plus the ability to write 9+ GB DVD's is actually useful to me, and $50 isn't such a terrible cost to acquire that capacity... In any case, I merely posted it so that any future readers could see that option IS a viable alternative means of solving this problem.

    You failed to answer, why you keep on insisting , as if it can't be...
    The one I repaired is now about 8 years old, so not very old.  
    It has no options for any USB boot.  Hence I made a disc.  
    It's a real issue, on millions of machines that don't need replaced.

    I have HP Media Center m9252p. This work station was working fine it was upgraded from Vista, to 7 to 8.1 and 10. 

    Last week new 10 upgrade crashed and forced me to go back to factory image.

    Now i have Vista on the machine, usb is not a boot option, update cannot be downloaded directly from Microsoft site and new windows 10 iso doesn't fits in DVD. 

    Does any one have any recommendations to restore my computer with windows 10

    Even older Windows 10 or Windows 8.1 that fites in one DVD would do the job.

    I have older windows 10 DVDs, but don't know how to get send to you.
