I downloaded the media creation tool for 20H2 Windows 10 version. Requested 64 bit version ONLY.
ISO file is over 4.7GB, does not fit on DVD. What should I do? I DO NOT want to mess with dual layer,
blue ray, or flash drives. Never had this problem before, seems like a glitch in the tool perhaps,
it does not compress the file properly?

This one works! Just burned it to DVD. So, this should resolve all the media format woes posted here? :)

Be sure to choose the second option to create media installation, unless you want to update directly.
Quite simply, Microsoft and its engineers are incompetent pieces of trash who should be all fired. They are such stupid lowly engineers they cannot think their way out of their backside. This is going on since 1995 already. Do you dirtbags ever consider people have to use your damn softwareand have different situations? Not every machine has USB that works without drivers, and many other reasons. Was it too hard for you to just make 2 DVDs? Or make a smaller dvd? Totally inept and useless staff and engineers I would fire all of them. What a garbage work culture that aspires to be a little less than useless.
There is one thing you can try.
Download the ISO, open it in File Explorer and click on Setup and follow the instructions.
There is no OS to boot. No explorer. Hard drive crashed. Need clean install. The only windows 10 ISO I could obtain.
I was thinking more like editing down the ISO. If those silly apps like xbox and such were not included,
it would probably fit. The only app needed is Microsoft store so people can pick and chose
what apps to use and install. A selfish oversight from Microsoft. It is very sad that for 5 years. The 64 bit ISO fit,
now it does not.

That is the expected size of the 20H2 ISO. Your only option for DVD is use dual layer ... or use a cheap USB stick, they are much faster to install from.
As I said in my original post, those are the things I don't want and can not do.
You will have to do one of these options if you wish to move the installer to external media. The fact is simple: The ISO is now larger than a single-layer DVD. Considering how few people actually burn install DVDs and either use cloud recovery or USB sticks, the installer growing beyond DVD limitations is okay.
Also, what computer made in the last 10 years can't boot from USB!?
It happens to be more than 10 years old. It ran with Windows 10 fine
until the hard drive crashed. It's not even mine. I'm trying to help
some folks, who can't afford to buy a new pc because of covid problems.
But we're way off topic here!
