xbox series x controller via bluetooth not recognized in games

New Xbox Wireless Controllers on Windows 10

• Known Issue: Some users are experiencing no button input in games with New Xbox Wireless Controllers (the controller packaged with the Xbox Series X|S) when connected via Bluetooth to Windows 10.
• Workaround: If you are experiencing this issue please ensure you have the latest servicing update on Windows. You can find available windows update by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for Updates on your Windows 10 PC. In some cases, there may be a button that says “View optional updates”, and you may be required to click there to find the update.

Once that is complete you will also need to make sure the controller firmware is up to date by checking for additional updates within the Xbox Accessories app.

• To check your update history, you can go to  Start menu > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > View update history. If your KB number for your OS Build is greater than the one listed below, then you are good to go as it will include the necessary updates. If you are unaware which OS Version you have installed, you can easily check this by going to: Settings > System > About.

    • Make sure to look for the section labeled as “Update on PC”
• Known Issue: Some users unable to get their New Xbox Wireless Controller to work with various games on Steam.
• Workaround: There is a fix for this issue included in the Steam beta client and you can participate in the Steam client beta by following the steps posted here. Once those are complete, remember to restart your Steam client for the changes to take effect.

I have the system up to date to the levels you indicate: controller, operating system, xbox application... From what I understand, if the platform is at the indicated level, from Microft it is suggested that the problem is on the game platform to which you connect? With COD: warzone nor COD:black Ops Cod War the controller doesn't work via bluetooth. Should I be the one to claim it to Blizzard and to each one of the studios? It has been 10 days since I received it and the problem still persists.

Some other user has commented in the forum that has solved the problem by installing, through the Windows Insider program, an update that is in the development channel, without any game provider applying any measure. How true is this information? Will any update be released, by Microsoft and soon, of any of the components of the xbox platform for PC?

Hi thanks for taking the time and responding to the issue with the new series x controller not working with PC on all video games most video games I've already tried all the suggestions that you made that was the first thing that I always do when I get a new controller my windows is always up to date I have the Xbox accessories app and I always download the latest firmware that was all done before I even tried the controller so the issue still continues there still is no fix I just returned the controller and using the old Xbox controller until this issue gets resolved

I think to me things are pointing towards the bluetooth device if you have one built in your PC.

Can you connect any bluetooth device to your PC other the wireless controller e.g. bluetooth mouse, ear buds etc?

If you have bluetooth, make sure it above bluetooth version 4.0.

I would check by typing in windows search  Computer Management, expand on Bluetooth, uninstall anything the xbox wireless Controller if it is there. Then find out your Bluetooth device make you are using e.g. my one Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth (R) - yours might be something else. Then download the latest Bluetooth drivers for it.

Uninstall Bluetooth in add/remove programs then install the latest Bluetooth drivers

Have BT 5.0, "Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth (R) " 22.0.0.2 (latest) and have installed and uninstalled the drivers several times, both the bluetooth and the controller ones. But I agree that it could be related to the new "Bluetooth LE XINPUT compatible input device" (year 2020) or the old "Xbox wireless Controller 987********" (year 2006).

My controller suffers from random microcuts even if not connected to any game platform.
