advanced power options and csenabled

Hi

Advanced power options went missing after the last update. No processor options, usb, gpu power, etc. The usual fix of CSEnabled in regedit is no longer there. The fan speed is out of control even with the slider bar set to better battery. Any help would be appreciated.  thanks

Hi All,

I too was fed up with this issue getting nowhere online.

I created a short script that will change req items to allow for advanced options to be displayed.

$sting77 = "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings"<br><br>$querylist =  reg query $sting77<br><br>foreach ($regfolder in $querylist){<br><br>    <br><br>    $active = $regfolder -replace "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" , "HKLM:"<br><br>    <br><br>    Get-ItemProperty -Path $active<br><br>    Set-ItemProperty -Path "$active" -Name "Attributes" -Value '2'<br><br>    <br><br>    }

Run this in an Elevated Powershell ISE and it should fix it straight away as mine are now showing:

    I have a current generation Lenovo T14 AMD Gen 1 running 20H2 and am missing the advanced power options like everyone else on this thread.  And, like you all, I can't belive that Micorosoft has made this change without notice or (apparently) recource to restore the historic settings.  Not sure where we can go with this, but three pages of user critical comments and no reply from MS is concerning.

    I have already resolved this issue for the missing the advanced power options in my previous post on page 1 or go to this Download link.

    Myprevious post on page 1has the Windows official power scheme files with the CsEabled fix and is the only method that actually works! 👍

    The only way I have found to fix the problem is to manually add each advanced option but this gets wiped out when there is any major windows update.

    Also, at least on the HP Envy, I re-flashed windows from Microsoft basically creating a signature edition, using microsoft drivers except where needed and that

    brought back the advanced options. Don't know how long that will last. Plus you have to re-setup your computer which is a pain. Since most manufacter

    drivers are a waste of time and resources this is working for me so far.

    just open control panel and search power options

    -then on left side there is written create a power plan

    -click on that

    -then select high performance and next

    -then adjust sleep and display time out and click create

    done

    for most people that doesn't work anymore and/or it will revert back. Also, you still can't adjust any of the advanced power settings like wake timer, cooling policies, and fine tune gpu when you have a gpu and an apu ( dual graphics) which defeats the purpose of the dual graphics.
