advanced power options and csenabled

Hi

Advanced power options went missing after the last update. No processor options, usb, gpu power, etc. The usual fix of CSEnabled in regedit is no longer there. The fan speed is out of control even with the slider bar set to better battery. Any help would be appreciated.  thanks

Hi All,

I too was fed up with this issue getting nowhere online.

I created a short script that will change req items to allow for advanced options to be displayed.

$sting77 = "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings"<br><br>$querylist =  reg query $sting77<br><br>foreach ($regfolder in $querylist){<br><br>    <br><br>    $active = $regfolder -replace "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" , "HKLM:"<br><br>    <br><br>    Get-ItemProperty -Path $active<br><br>    Set-ItemProperty -Path "$active" -Name "Attributes" -Value '2'<br><br>    <br><br>    }

Run this in an Elevated Powershell ISE and it should fix it straight away as mine are now showing:

    Well, I can only live in the present! Haha. I have NO idea why MS is messing with us like this. Such a joke. I agree. It may just be a temporary solution, but I will push off any updates as long as I can.

    In the comments section of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ME\_2EkOgNfM you can select the first download to get a .ZIP file. It has ALL of the .REG options available and can just double click them to add the missing power options. It's very easy. I'm the "cautious" type, so I read each .REG file before making the change. Worked like a charm. MS apparently wants to be more like Apple . . .  go figure.

    Actually this way only adds visible options to processor power management.

    They are unable to reduce actual power to processor.

    If anyone knows any solution please reply.

    To change the actual power of the processor you need to use: ThrottleStop or Afterburner

    My previous post on page 1 has the Windows official power scheme files with the CsEabled fix and is the only method that actually works!
