Checks system requirements. Everything is a go.

Did the download.

Got message: "We couldn't update the system reserved partition."

How do I continue?

Deleted all partitions so that drive 4 was all unallocated space. Clicked on install and got message: "Windows could not prepare the computer to boot into the next phase of installation. To install Windows, restart the installation."

When I restarted the installation and got to "Where do you want to install Window?" drive 4 had three partitions: System, MSR (Reserved), and Primary.

Went through that cycle three times, same result.

    Hi Greg

At the very start of the Installation Process, press Shift + F10, or Shift + Fn + F10 to open Command Prompt

Run this command and hit Enter:

    diskpart

Run this command and hit Enter:

    list disk

(Make note of the disk number you want to convert and enter it into the next command - replace disknumber)

Run this command and hit Enter:

    select disk disknumber

Run this command and hit Enter:

    clean

Run this command and hit Enter:

    convert gpt

Then close Command Prompt and start the installation again

Did all that and got the same message: "Windows could not prepare the computer to boot into the next phase of installation. To install Windows, restart the installation."

    Hi Greg

If there are any other USB drives connected to your PC, disconnect those

Have you disabled Secure/Safe Boot in BIOS and if there is a setting to enable USB Boot, is that enabled?

Plugged into USB ports. Please let me know which count as "drives"

    • Bluetooth dongle
    • WiFi adapter dongle
    • Keyboard
    • Mouse
    • Connection to USB-C port on monitor
    • USB 3.0 connection to monitor

I will try to figure out the rest of your directions, but if in the meantime I could use help on that. I've done it before, I just don't remember how.
