Hi,

You can simply copy the link to reach the desire place in the regedit and then modify the required value.

Step 1 - Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft.NETFramework\v2.0.50727

Create a new entry SystemDefaultTlsVersions with a REG_DWORD value set to 1.

Create a new entry SchUseStrongCrypto with a REG_DWORD value set to 1.

Step 2 - Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft.NETFramework\v4.0.30319

Create a new entry SystemDefaultTlsVersions with a REG_DWORD value set to 1.

Create a new entry SchUseStrongCrypto with a REG_DWORD value set to 1.

Step 3 - Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft.NETFramework\v2.0.50727

Create a new entry SystemDefaultTlsVersions with a REG_DWORD value set to 1.

Create a new entry SchUseStrongCrypto with a REG_DWORD value set to 1.

Step 4 - Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft.NETFramework\v4.0.30319

Create a new entry SystemDefaultTlsVersions with a REG_DWORD value set to 1.

Create a new entry SchUseStrongCrypto with a REG_DWORD value set to 1.

After these changes restart the pc and then check if anything happen. If not then follow further step.

Step 5 - Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\WinHttp

Set the DefaultSecureProtocols REG_DWORD value to 800

Step 6 - Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\WinHttp

Set the DefaultSecureProtocols REG_DWORD value to 800

After these changes restart the pc.

    I did all that Steps, i checked it 3 Times and it didn't Work on my Lumia 930...

    What is wrong with it?

    Didn't work because my Windows is German, because i'm from Germany??

    What I followed was the registry editer stages 1-4 .  It failed when I improperly updated the registry but once I figured out how to update it , it worked.

    Dear,

    Will you please guide for my LUMIA 640XL Dual SIM ( RM1067_1005).

    Earlier I'm updated using OTC when Microsoft removed Upgrade Advisor from store.

    But now I haven't get updated by OTC giving error of Ms Server Access.

    Now I'm using Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2.

    I redid regedit to edit and add the string value and type of REG_Dword and set the value to 1. Removed stage 5 and 6 from the registry and it worked.

    Thanks.  Only took me a couple of weeks. Had to learn how to modify the registry properly.
