Are there any new fixes? I've tried all the steps and it still won't work. I just get

"There are multiple root elements. Line 2, Position 2"

    Split from this thread.

    Thanks 93tid : )

I first checked my registry. I have all the branches & keys for Steps 1 thru 4.

For Step 5, I don't have the DWORD DefaultSecureProtocols.

    For Step 6, I don't have the branch HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\WinHttp.

    I now have three questions:

    1. Do I just, if allowed to, create the missing entries? (Some online courses say I can).
    2. Also, could you explain exactly which part(s) of my problem this registry fix addresses? I'd like to know before going ahead.
    3. After doing the registry fix, and rebooting the PC, in what state do I expect to find my Lumia? Are there any other steps I should carry out?

    Thx, Michael
