Have tried 3 times. Message on update page says it did not install and I may try again. This is not a new install. Have been using for couple of years.

Windows 10, version 20H2 and Windows Server, version 20H2 | Microsoft Docs
Here you can find official information about known issues about Windows versions.
I had this same problem, then I ran the Windows Update Troubleshooter inside Windows Settings, and it fixed it.
BUT I have Conexant Audio Drivers, which are documented in the article I linked to, to have issues, since the Windows update version 2004 last year, I think that was May or October update.
Read the article see if you may have some driver or something else mentioned there affected.
Mi Windows Update, even though I could clean error 0x80004005, gets stuck at 61%. Every day I turn on the machine it tries to update again and again gets stuck at 61%. I left it overnight one day but didn“'t go beyond that %.
Same issue here...
I did not recognize this update problem happening until last week when I switched monitors. Might be coincidence, but I haven't been stuck on the 20H2 update as long as many here. According to the update log, everything was fine through 2/19/21...
I am only knowledgeable enough to try couple steps that use the Troubleshoot utility. I've now paused the updates as far out as I can - 35 days - but Windows says I will not be able to pause again.
Because this not so new issue just only recently happened to me, the problem must be growing all the time with more and more systems affected.
