My Windows 10 Version 20H2 will not install the update 0x80004005.

Have tried 3 times. Message on update page says it did not install and I may try again. This is not a new install. Have been using for couple of years.

    Try updating Windows using the Update Assistant. You can get it at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo... clicking on Update now, then opening the file and letting it download and install the update.

    Sorry, I understood you were trying to install Windows 20H2 update.

    Try running Windows Update troubleshooter:

    > Press Windows key +i on your keyboard

    > Select Update & security

    > Select Troubleshoot

    > Click on Additional troubleshooters

    > Click on Windows Update

    > Select Run the troubleshooter

    Try this alternate solution:

    > Press Windows key + R

    > Type services.msc

    > Locate Windows update, right-click it and select Stop

    > Close the window

    > Go to C:\Windows folder using file explorer

    > Locate SoftwareDistribution and delete it

    > Reboot your PC

    > Try downloading the update again
