Troubleshoot could not recognize the problem.
My Windows 10 Version 20H2 will not install the update 0x80004005.

Have tried 3 times. Message on update page says it did not install and I may try again. This is not a new install. Have been using for couple of years.

2020-12-16T21:47:23+00:00 I have gone thu everything. Deleting Software Distribution, rebooting, downloading and installing the 20H2 feature etc. But, even though it all runs without an error (even config on reboot) it gives an message that the update could not be installed and when looking at it says everything is up to date but in the history it says it failed.

2021-01-12T23:48:32+00:00 I have even tried a repair reinstall of windows using the 202H version and the results are always the same it take over an hour to attempt the update then fails. If I don't pause updates, it keeps trying over and over and over. It has rendered my computer USELESS unless I turn off all updates. This has been going on for weeks. MICROSOFT WHERE IS THE FIX???? ARE YOU OUT THERE? ARE YOU LISTENING? Get your act together.

2020-12-29T15:11:03+00:00 Me as well, i paused updates for 7 days for now, but it really gets on my nerves. PC is not a helpfull personal computer anymore sadly, just a load of never ending tech problems and infinity updates that suck up my ssds write cycles.
