Great to see another seafaring brethren. I couldn't quite resolve your uniform cover's insignia - Coast Guard? I see you were a Warrant Officer - not sure of the grade. I was a Naval Aviator for 8 years. Counting my trainers, I typed in 5 different AC. My primary role was reconnaissance. The best plane I ever flew was the North American Vigilante RA-5C. Like all of us, I'm aging up too. I retired from active flying 15 years ago. I too enjoy playing this sim, especially when you can complete your trip.

The abbreviation I used in my post - AV - references my anti-virus protection. I would not normally suggest to anyone they disable their computer's protection, but in this context I did that for a specific download. Here's a way to see your computer's update status: press the Windows key in the lower left corner of your keyboard - the key with the Windows symbol on it; when the Search field opens at the bottom left, type "winver" - without the quotes. When the status of your windows OS displays, make sure you have the latest version indicated: 21H1. If 21H1 is not indicated, then you have to download that update from Microsoft. Once you've established that you have 21H1 installed, follow the other directions I outlined above in my earlier post to download Flight Simulator. Good luck, Robert. Let us know how you make out.     Hello, I bought a boxed version of the microsoft flight simulator after installing from the dvd the microsoft store opened where I entered activation code and had it installed after downloading the launcher the game will start a screen with the text "press any button to start" will appear after pressing any button nothing happens just previews of the game running from the beginning

    On my Flight Simulator,,, It is responding very slowing having to click the keys several times to get it to work... terrain is very sketchy... takes forever to load up... all of this seems to have started doing this from the last update. Is there someone that can log into my computer to fix this problem.,.. I am not the best at computer repair.

    Microsoft. Osobo and Perfect Flight have created beautiful work, but I don't think all of them are on the same page. I have experienced multiple glitches when running FS2020. I too bought the Deluxe edition. My program was working fine until I opened it last evening. After the Osobo splash screen closed, I received the pop-up warning message that my license could not be "authenticated". When I clicked Next, a totally new screen splashed across my monitor and it was completely foreign to me. It showed a single-engine yellow light plane near the ground with a rhinoceros heading in the screen-right direction. The next screen that appeared showed a FS promo screen with the title of STANDARD, and below that the phrase "Mandatory Update" The "update?" was 40.23GiB in size, so being alerted by the command of "mandatory", I went for it. What I actually wound up doing was installing the STANDARD edition of the game and when I went into Content Manager, I had updates for Deluxe. All the while everywhere it showed "Owned". When I first bought and installed FS2020, it carried over my player name from FSX which is linked to my Microsoft account. After I downloaded the STANDARD edition, my player name had been changed to 5HRS. Meanwhile, my original player name displayed in the upper-right corner. I have a lot of phone calling to do so I better get to it. Thanks for taking the time to read my rant. NealO
