I have spend 2 day 17 hours trying to get this program to work.

Great to see another seafaring brethren. I couldn't quite resolve your uniform cover's insignia - Coast Guard? I see you were a Warrant Officer - not sure of the grade. I was a Naval Aviator for 8 years. Counting my trainers, I typed in 5 different AC. My primary role was reconnaissance. The best plane I ever flew was the North American Vigilante RA-5C. Like all of us, I'm aging up too. I retired from active flying 15 years ago. I too enjoy playing this sim, especially when you can complete your trip.

The abbreviation I used in my post - AV - references my anti-virus protection. I would not normally suggest to anyone they disable their computer's protection, but in this context I did that for a specific download. Here's a way to see your computer's update status: press the Windows key in the lower left corner of your keyboard - the key with the Windows symbol on it; when the Search field opens at the bottom left, type "winver" - without the quotes. When the status of your windows OS displays, make sure you have the latest version indicated: 21H1. If 21H1 is not indicated, then you have to download that update from Microsoft. Once you've established that you have 21H1 installed, follow the other directions I outlined above in my earlier post to download Flight Simulator. Good luck, Robert. Let us know how you make out.     Hello Dennis,

    I did manage to download the program and am happy with it so far.  I still need to get some hardware for the controls, stick, throttle & rudder pedals - thinking of getting the T-16000M FCS Flight Pack.  Thanks again for your reply.

    Hello, appreciate if someone can assist.

    I have bought the lux deluxe edition of flt sim 2020 and downloaded it to an external hardrive. On the computer I downloaded it with it took 24 hours and said downloaded correctly. I tried to play it but the computer was the highest but it was all there and launched even though it did not really work. 

    I have gone out and bought an expensive gaming machine, unlocked Intel® Core™ i7-10700 Processor

    RAM: 16 GB / Storage: 2 TB HDD & 512 GB SSD

    Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 8 GB

    I plugged in the external hardrive, but do not seem to be able to launch flight sim, can someone tell me what to do?!

    I have been unable to launch MFS2020 for days now. It attempts to download an update which takes about 30 minuets and then stopts at about 80% and never completes. Is there a resolution to to this issue, I am really ready to just give up on it. I will say this game has beautiful but it has been a horrible experience so far, it is very slow, buggy and these updates take so long when they work.

    Hi, I'm Tony Volante and used to run the Flight Simulator User Group UK. My last Flightsim was FSX. Retired from it for a while back came back into it when I discovered MSFS2020. Bought it and installed it, no problem. Been using it for some 6 months now. I want to update my local airport by using Airport Scenery Designer. I should automatically find the default airports but it doesn't. I can only assume that is because it cannot find the SDK folder. The program asks for it on installation. It found the basic MSFS folder, but not the SDK one. Now, her is my problem. I have searched my hard drive from top to bottom, opening every likely looking folder. My hard disk has a basic Local Disk C: as well as a Data (E). I've searched every part of both but cannot even find MSFS, never mind the SDK. Any idea why of where they may be lurking ?
