Why is there a debug file on my computer and how to I fix it

In the debug file it says [1010/132558.157:ERROR:directory_reader_win.cc(43)] FindFirstFile: The system cannot find the path specified. (0x3)

    I actually saw a case where OP said the issue started appearing after installing VS Code, hence was asking. Thank you - let me see we can find what is generating the same.

    yes i also have visual studio code installed but it seems that it is not the problem because when i try to delete that file, it says that the file is open in chrome...

    I got the same error.  It's popping up in directories that I am usually in.  I use powershell to navigate through my files/folders and sometimes stay in that directory.  After a while I find that debug.log popped up.
