Windows update is stuck at 61%

Hello,

I am trying to update windows to version 20H2, however, the installation it's stuck at 61%.

What I tried:

1) I tried running this in administrator command prompt:

net stop wuauserv

net stop cryptSvc

net stop bits

net stop msiserver

ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old

net start wuauserv

net start cryptSvc

net start bits

net start msiserver

2) I tried updating windows in safe mode,

**3)**I tried disabling every non Microsoft service in msconfig

**4)**I tried updating using the windows 10 update assistant

Does anyone know how to fix it?

    Oh thank you so much Microsoft.....so millions of us have to reset our computer to do an update

    Yeah everyone buy a mac...that will teach the boffins at Microsoft......if it aint broke don't fix it........in other words Windows is perfectly ok as it is.

    If you must bring out an update make sure it works so everyone doesn't have the hassle!!!!!!!!!

    I spoke with MS Support today.  They said my BIOS needs to be newer than 2019.  I've tried performing a bios update, but the newest one for my HP Spectre x360 is 2019.  I then went to HPs compatibility chart for the Win10 20H Release, and my system was NOT tested.  I believe my system is no longer supported by HP for updates. 

    I even tried to download the installer and iso for Win10 20H and it stops at 31%, which is what I found others having this result as well.

    Time for a new laptop.

    I recently updated my one year old desktop with an updated BIOS from HP.

    Trying to update the windows system to the latest version resulted with it hanging on the install at 61%

    I ran sfc scannow......DISM........CHKDISK,... although sfc found some corrupted files, Deleted the windows download updates in software distribution. After reboot it still would not install.

    Considering the update on your BIOS is just over 1 year old I would not have thought that would be the problem.(BS from Microsoft) It's bloody Microsoft and their fancy systematic ideas of updating without even giving consideration to the millions of users whose system will fail to update......presumably because they have not tried and tested it first. I wont do the update until they find a patch to fix this. I'm certainly not going to reinstall windows.
