Hello,
I am trying to update windows to version 20H2, however, the installation it's stuck at 61%.
What I tried:
1) I tried running this in administrator command prompt:
net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptSvc
net stop bits
net stop msiserver
ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old
net start wuauserv
net start cryptSvc
net start bits
net start msiserver
2) I tried updating windows in safe mode,
**3)**I tried disabling every non Microsoft service in msconfig
**4)**I tried updating using the windows 10 update assistant
Does anyone know how to fix it?

After months of trying and getting stuck at 61% using the normal Windows update feature, the Windows Assistant Worked and I am now on version 10 20H2. My PC is an i7 HP Envy with 1tb of disk and 16gb of RAM and it did take over two hours to complete. Not sure what caused this update disaster but I am glad it has been corrected. A little more feedback during the updates would help users understand what is failing and what is working going forward.
That's probably how long it took Microsoft/HP to solve the problem. Microsoft has to work with all the individual computer makers in order for their updates to work on all computer models. I have Toshibas, an HP, and a Dell, and the only 1 that had a problem updating is the Dell. My view is that Dell wants it that way in order to sell their maintenance programs.
Here is a CURE of this disease---[YOU DON"T NEED TO RESET WINDOWS OR REDOWNLOAD THE UPDATE FILES, JUST FOLLOW THIS]-
Real issue is outdated CONEXANT audio driver, check your pc if you have installed it, uninstall it mostly installed with Sennheiser headphone software
If you use Sennheiser headphones then uninstall its driver software and then restart and open update and wait it will install everything, make sure you have not connected any other device except wired mouse, keyboard and monitor. I AM SURE REMOVING SENNHEISER DRIVERS WILL HELP 100%, it is not just this device Conexant comes with other devices too, check it by yourself in device manager etc. After update you can reinstall those drivers. Hope I helped you. If you don't use sennheiser then uninstall any headphone or external audio driver and only hit and try will help. It's just driver issue. Thank me later

I had the same problem, stuck at 61%. I had to do the "reset this PC" under update and security.
After that completed, it froze at 100% and had to run the windows update troubleshooter, located under troubleshoot on update and security also. Rebooted and it completed
its not working please tell any solution please, sir.
