Windows update is stuck at 61%

Hello,

I am trying to update windows to version 20H2, however, the installation it's stuck at 61%.

What I tried:

1) I tried running this in administrator command prompt:

net stop wuauserv

net stop cryptSvc

net stop bits

net stop msiserver

ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old

net start wuauserv

net start cryptSvc

net start bits

net start msiserver

2) I tried updating windows in safe mode,

**3)**I tried disabling every non Microsoft service in msconfig

**4)**I tried updating using the windows 10 update assistant

Does anyone know how to fix it?

    UPDATE:

    After I reset windows, the update worked.

    There is a new update, and the same thing happened. Looks like I'll have to reset windows every time there's an update.

    I read somewhere that outdated drivers would be an issue, then I checked all the devices I have connected and did not get their driver update recently, most of them are getting updates, even my logitech mouse older than 4 years gets an update frequently, the only device is Sennheiser headphone which I think never get any update from many years, I tried uninstalling other drivers and then tried updating the OS but it was just a hit that when I uninstalled sennheiser drivers with CONEXANT drivers, it installed without any problem. Hope you got your answer. I am sorry for my bad English.

    worked for me after tearing my hair out and several unsuccessful different methods

    You can use the media creation tool.

    1-Click on Update this PC now and click Next

    2-Will take a time to download

    3-Check if the option "Keep apps and files" is enabled

    4-Click on Install
