Random Freeze and Unresponsiveness [Windows 10 20H2]

I recently updated to Windows 10 20H2 from 2004. Since then I have been experiencing random freezes, lock-ups, and unresponsiveness. I could be watching a video and the video would pause, the touchpad won't respond, touch won't work, and the power key won't sign me off. The only option I am left with is to press and hold the power button to force-restart the laptop. 

I am using Lenovo 920 with i7 8th gen 512 SSD and 16 GB of RAM.

Please, send help.

    Never encountered freezing/deadlock on version 1909, after updating to windows 20h2, random freezing starts to occur. You have to hard restart for the system to work again. 

    It is very hard to troubleshoot because there's nothing in the event log. Done dism / sfc / disk check, clean up and defrag, but still problem persist.

    I have the same issue with more or less the same configuration!  Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz 32,0 GB Mainboard Z390-F win10pro - it is really annoying and horrible. Also thought about re-installing, but after your comment I am not sure I will do it.

    I just cite you: Someone needs to seriously look into this!

    I would suggest you hold on updating by downloading the Microsoft tool "Windows Update Show/Hide Updates". In mean time, I suggest you visit the Optimize Drives(disk defrag) tool on your system and set it to weekly on all drives/partitions except for the zone where your OS is installed, there disable defragmenting(in my case, the fragmentation always stays in the 10% range, so there really is no need for it). That's the solution for the freezes/hangs I'm currently focusing on and hopping it works. This is not a fix, just a possible workaround to see if the defrag tool is the culprit that freezes your system. If it is, then you need to go to Event Viewer to where the process fails. Note that the process fails if there is a file or zone on the drive or partition that is damaged.

    Another possible and probably a stupid fix should be here edge://flags/, you get there by going to Setting in your Edge browser and typing the rest. Then search for Delay Competing Low Priority Requests flag and disable it.

    I'm not entirely sure if there is a way to know but this issue has been going on for a while now, at least for me and none of the update to this day address this issue. One thread I saw few months back saying that because it only affected a small group of users, Microsoft isn't gonna pay that much attention to fix it. They rather add more stuff for their next update and eventually break more stuff because of incompatible issue and fix issues that are affecting a larger group of users. 

    I am waiting for 21H1 update as well because it supposedly more "stable". If the update doesn't fix the current issue, then I don't know what else to do to reach to Microsoft and make them aware of this.

    Is there a way to know if Microsoft is aware of this issue? Hoping they are aware so they can address in a future update. 

    When 21H1 comes out, I may give it a go, but if it hardlocks even once I'm rolling right back to 2004.
