Random Freeze and Unresponsiveness [Windows 10 20H2]

I just updated to the 21H1 version of Windows few hours ago and my laptop froze twice so far.

I don't know what else to do.

I've been having the same issue since mid April 2021, every time I have a hang I'll check task manager when I get control again and the cpu usage will drop from 97% and I could be just using Spotify like I am now. I don't know what it's doing but it's throwing everything off. I've run malware scans, spybot scans, sfc fixes, ccleaner directory fixes, done offline scans and windows defender scans zero viruses or bugs all directories fixed, all sfc issues fixed, getting very annoyed with it now. Nothing has fixed the issue at all, I even changed my cpu voltage to see if it was down to me having it undervolted and no changes at all. 

I'm running a Ryzen 5 3600x, 32gb of 3200mhz ram, rx5700 and a xlr8 nvme for Windows, my general cpu usage at idol is 3% and gpu 0-2% yet every hang shoots cpu usage to almost 100%. Hardware monitors don't show any issues either so Windows gotta get fixed ASAP!!

Turn off disk defragmenter. I haven't had  a freeze in 1 week. This is not a fix, just a workaround. Microsoft still hasn't acknowledged this issue, as seen here Windows 10, version 20H2 and Windows Server, version 20H2 | Microsoft Docs. 

I did this last night and this morning my laptop froze on me with a loud buzzing noise. I guess this is not working for me. Hope it works for you guys. And I read somewhere that the 21H1 update won't be fixing the issue either as the logs didn't mention anything about resolving freezing issue. The 21H1 update will only be a minor update and they are basically using the same exact codes from 20H2 in 21H1 update. So, not much of a fix there. So, I bet that this issue will still be around even if we update the version to 21H1.

Keep us posted if you get a month or so without a hard-lock that would be really encouraging. I currently have disk defrags disabled on my system anyway but I can't remember if I had them disabled when I was running 20H2 with the hard-locks so this will at least be something to watch.
