I tried updating my video drivers using windows update drivers and the manufacturer drivers, but it wasn't effective.
I restored my notebook to Oct 13, removing the 3 updates and it solved the HDMI port problem.
I hope they get another update since the updates from Oct 14 are security updates.
Thanks for the feedback! Glad to hear you got back to a working monitor. I was getting ready to do a restore when I inadvertantly fixed the monitor issue buy just changing the USB-3 port. I suspect the other USB-3 port may still have issues now even though I'm able to use it for the power plug. This may sound like a hardware issue but it literally happened after the update. I'll probably do the restore since I have the other issue to deal with, I'm just trying to get something done now after wasting nearly a whole day trying to fix things!
