This is a summary of the cumulative updates released on October 13th for all the supported consumer releases of Windows 10.

  1. Windows 10 version 2004 - KB4579311 Build 19041.572
  2. Windows 10 versions 1903 and 1909 - KB4574727, Build 18362.1139 and 18363.1139
  3. Windows 10 versions 1809 - KB4570333, Build 17763.1518

IMPORTANT Windows 10, version 1809, will reach end of service on November 10, 2020 for devices running Windows 10 Home, Pro, Pro for Workstation, and IoT Core editions. These devices will no longer receive monthly security and quality updates that contain protection from the latest security threats. To continue receiving security and quality updates, Microsoft recommends updating to the latest version of Windows 10.

    at this time it feels like Windows 10 Version 20H2 is quite stable on my laptop.

    The only bug that I found was that Gmail sync via the Mail apps was often late on my Windows 10. unless forced I manually press "Refresh this View" next to the Enter Selection Mode button.

    Now that Microsoft has finalized Windows 10 version 20H2 you can easily install it ahead of its general release to the public.

    Doing so is mostly non-problematic:  Windows 10 version 20H2 is a minor upgrade over its predecessor with no major new features**,** and if you already installed that version of Windows, you can be done with this entire process in under 20 minutes.

     **There is, however, one reason you might not want to install 20H2 yet: If you are using Windows Subsystem with Linux (WSL) 2.0, there is a bug in the current 20H2 build that prevents it from working at the time of this writing. So wait until it’s fixed if you need WSL 2.0. *My comment:*D'OH

This update is focused on bug and performance fixes, but it has some larger changes—like the removal of the System Control Panel.     Microsoft is proud that this is the first version of Windows 10 with the new, Chromium-based Microsoft Edge browser included.

    I found myself laughing at some of the information in the article (i.e. statement above re: Edge.)   I suggest y'all read the articles, do your own further research and make your decision.  I'll be waiting awhile for that install until I hear more about it.... THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY.

    I'm hoping this shows MS moving in the right direction.  Wait and See.

    Is it stable using Windows 10 version 20H2?

    at this time it feels like Windows 10 Version 20H2 is quite stable on my laptop. I didn't even find any bugs and glitches on the TOSHIBA Satellite L645 Laptop. Powered by an Intel Core I3 350M CPU (First Generation Intel Core I Series). The driver also had no problems. Even a few days ago I cleaned temporary files instead using 100% disk in Task Manager was rarely less frequent.

    I've even tried Windows 10 Version 20H2 since August 24, 2020 via Join the Windows Insider Release Preview Channel.

    The only bug that I found was that Gmail sync via the Mail apps was often late on my Windows 10. unless forced I manually press "Refresh this View" next to the Enter Selection Mode button.
