Windows 10 error 0xc1900101 and error 0xc1900101-0x20017 Repeatedly

Have tried so many resets I am surprised the hard drive is no knackered. Clean boots, disabling drivers, changing system configuration to hide all microsoft services and disabling non microsoft all fail with the same error.

I have tried all the things you are told to do by microsoft in their pages and still get the same error. Lenovo wipe their feet and say its beyond their support when asked. Nothing I have been told by any representative here has worked. The only thing I have yet to try is a clean install of windows 10!

The computer is as follows:

Lenovo Ideacentre 310s-08asr amd a9-9245 radeon r5 compute cores 2c+3G

8Gb Memory

860Gb free on hard drive

Razer Chroma keyboard

Windows Defender used no 3rd party

Have been told it is the mcafee boot protection but mcafee has been removed after every windows reinstallation, the mcafee removal tool three times.

The previous update via media creation too i tried update and that failed but gave no error code.

This time i tried the iso file and update and yet again it failed but this time i get error 0xc1900101-0x20017

When i use windows update i just get error 0xc1900101 and nothing else.

In the past i have disabled all non microsoft services and i have also disabled display adapters; Printers, sound, video and game controllers and did a restart and that failed also.

I have tried everything the advisers have said and that failed everytime.

    There is something in the security tab I am not sure about though, what does this do and could it be part of the problem?

    This is the Lenovo Ideacentre 310s-08asr

    It has no special buttons and uses a standard keyboard, it uses F1 to enter BIOS, F10 to enter disgnosis mode and F12 to select what to boot from.

    The BIOS shown in the video is nothing like it is here, my BIOS I have shown you in a previous message.

    Primary boot sequence is separate to the following but in the same startup tab and is the first choice

    To change boot mode CSM has to be enabled

    That allows you to set boot mode to either auto, legacy only or uefi only

    If set to auto then you can set boot priority to either legacy first or uefi

    If boot mode is set to legacy only, then you have not option in boot priority

    When I tried this time the USB stick was placed in the computer before it was restarted and still would not work properly.

    One thing though what does the following do in my BIOS under security tab?

    TCG Feature setup

    TCG security device - firmware TPM

    security chip 2.0

    clear TCG security feature

    Dear Graham,researching on the subject, I saw that some Lenovo model has a different way of accessing the boot from the flash drive.

    Next to the notebook there is a hidden button that can only be pressed with a "toothpick" or something like that, please ask me to watch the video below and do the same procedure to try to start with the thumb drive.

    Tried it and the result was the same even with:

    CSM is now ENABLED

    Boot Mode is now AUTO

    Boot Priority is now LEGACY FIRST

     The computer after restarting tried the USB then you get the windows logo then the "glitch", then you get a distorted windows logo

    before you get just a cursor before the lenovo screen appears before it goes back to a windows logo. It then loops, until USB removed and it boots normally.

    The USB is put into one of the 4 USB slots at the front of the computer as before.
